KTM has teased us with a set of photos of the 2019 KTM 790 Adventure R.

The prototype version can be seen ripping around the same 799cc platform as the 2018 KTM 790 Duke.

KTM promises an adventure bike that will be super lightweight, powerful, and full of innovations that assist in off-road riding.
It was just last week when the 2018 KTM 790 Duke proved itself to be one of the best machines at the 2018 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Not only did the 790 Duke won the middleweight class thanks to Chris Fillmore, it also clocked in the third fastest overall time with just a few seconds separating them from the Ducati Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak and the KTM 1290 Super Duke R.
The 799cc twin-cylinder performance naked machine definitely shut a few mouths in terms of what its capabilities. Now, the Austrian-based manufacturer is already teasing us with an off-road version of the machine dubbed the KTM 790 Adventure R.
Based on the same 799cc parallel-twin platform, KTM promises a whole different experience for adventure riders with their upcoming KTM 790 Adventure R. The promise? A lightweight, powerful, and an innovative machine inspired by the brand’s vast experience in off-roading and of course, Dakar.
With KTM’s usual style of always giving us a taste of what their new machines are all about, photos of the KTM 790 Adventure R prototype are already making their way around the World Wide Web and one thing is for sure; it looks MAGNIFICENT.
Other specs that we can expect from the new 790 Adventure R are:
- A riding range of 250 miles (around 400km) for every full tank of fuel
- Fully-adjustable WP Suspension package
- Cornering ABS
- Traction Control
- Riding Modes
Since it’s already July and the 2018 KTM 790 Duke is only now starting to make its way to markets around the world, we’re guessing that the highly-awaited KTM 70 Adventure R will make its official appearance sometime in November during EICMA 2018.
