Its finally out in the flesh, after months of teasing which included Gumby style video clips, Ducati rolled it out in Intermot ending the debates we been having about the actual look of the Ducati Scrambler.
We already guessed that the engine will be coming from the Monster 795 and its confirmed that the 803cc v-twin was massaged to give a smoother acceleration with 75hp and 50lbft of power and torque.
Back to the shape, its a cross of old school scrambler styling with a dash of Ducati modern styling. Its something that could please the “old at heart” riders and the more veteran rider that just wants a simple no fuss bike.
From what we can see it comes with a twin-spar steel trellis frame, a die-cast aluminium swingarm, an 18-inch 10-spoke alloy front wheel and 17-inch rear, ‘enduro-derived’ Pirelli tyres and Brembo brakes with a single disc up front and two-channel ABS as standard.
Suspension wise it comes with USD forks and a slanted side mount monoshock. Seat height is just 790mm, combine that with a relaxed straight seating position and at 170kg, this will be a nice bike around town or country roads.
Reports also mentioned about a big underseat storage which a usb socket. The modernism doesn’t stop there as the classic round headlight is LED along with the rear lights anddigital instrument panel.
