MV Agusta has just unveiled what is tipped to be accessible Brutale 1000 RS.

Frankly, it’s hard to determine what could make the Brutale 1000 RS the cheaper version of the top-spec Brutale 1000 RR.

Looking at the specifications, the only prominent point of difference between the RS and the RR is in its suspension set-up, which we expected a few months back.

The Italian firm has replaced the electronically controlled Ohlins NIX EC front forks and TTX rear shock with Marzocchi upside/down fork and Sachs rear shock.

However, the Brutale RS features the same electronic rider aid, including the top-spec Brembo Stylema callipers.

Other minimal changes include a new seat, footpegs, rear-view mirrors and revised ergonomics.

Moving on to the important bits, the Brutale RS benefited from the RR engine upgrades introduced this year, including titanium conrods and valves, DLC coated tappets, sintered valve guides, and new cam profiles.

The four-cylinder 998cc generates the same 208hp @ 13,000rpm with a max speed of 300km/h.

Triumph Motorcycles has finally dropped the official launching date for the upcoming Speed Triple 1200 RR, which will be unveiled on September 14.

While details remain scarce, the latest teaser trailer and photos suggest that the Speed Triple 1200 RR might not just be your typical sportbike.

Instead, the British firm adopts a unique approach, especially with the single circular LED headlamp paired to a classic looking front end similar to a Cafe Racer appearance.

Apart from knowing the RR is equipped with the same three-cylinder engine from the Speed Triple RS, it is still unknown whether the power figures will remain at 177hp or higher.

That is the only info we could work on right now; the rest we have to wait until September 14 to have a detailed look into the new Speed Triple 1200 RR.

Boon Siew Honda has officially unveiled the 2021 Honda CBR150R for the Malaysian market.

Marketed as the new baby brother of the Honda CBR250RR, this 150cc sports bike comes with a number of big-bike parts with a reasonable price tag.

Design-wise, the 2021 Honda CBR150R does carry the CBR250RR cues, especially its front headlight setup.

All LED lights from front to back gives the bike a more modern and aggressive appeal while its fully digital meter display further amps its sporty look and feel.

Underneath all that jazz lies a 150cc single-cylinder DOHC PGM-Fi engine that produces around 16hp (12kW) at 9,000rpm and 14.4Nm of torque at 7,000rpm.

All that power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed manual transmission with the addition of an assist/slipper clutch.

Just like the CBR250RR, the 2021 CBR150R also comes with upside/down front forks, which are becoming more common on entry-level bikes nowadays.

Interestingly the 2021 CBR150R is equipped with a dual-channel ABS model and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) for added safety.

There are two colours available namely Mat Charcoal Gray Metallic and Candy Scintillate Red.

The 2021 Honda CBR150R is available for a price of RM12,499.

Husqvarna has been caught testing the next-generation Svartpilen 401 in the U.K.

The Svartpilen burst into the scene in 2018 as a friendly dinky retro motorcycle for new riders.

However, fast forward to 2021, the Bajaj build small capacity motorcycle has since facing stiff competition from other major brands.

Looking at the spy shots by MCN, the Svartpilen 401 features a similar engine setup as the new KTM Duke 390 and RC390.

While not much can be said about the new-gen Svartpilen, one of the most striking changes is the new steel trellis frame.

It also features a new design, notably the exposed frame and sub-frame previously hidden by extensive bodywork. Other significant changes include a new swingarm that is now bolted to the back of the frame.

The test mule also features a new radial front brake calliper which should improve the motorcycle braking capabilities.

Judging from the new bodywork, it is safe to assume that the Svartpilen has received a significant overhaul instead of just a revised Euro 5 engine.

Currently, the Svartpilen 401 is powered by a 373cc single-cylinder engine capable of producing 44hp @ 9,000rpm and 37Nm @ 7,000rpm.

While we don’t think there could be a major power boost from the new engine, the new motor could offer an improved rev-range than its predecessor.
