Is the new BMWG310R naked getting a sport-bodied sibling?

A reliable source is reporting that the new BMW G310R entry-level naked will be gaining with a sport-bodied sibling that will be launched very soon.

Citing Indian-based insider sources, the report states that the German marque’s Indian partner, TVS, will reveal the sport-bodied version of the BMW G310R next month and will likely display it during the Auto Expo in New Delhi as well.

It is no secret that BMW Motorrad intends to expand the G310R’s platform with more variants. One of which confirmed by BMW Motorrad execs would be a half-faired mini-adventure variant.

Supporting this report as well are TVS’ confirmed plans in using the G310R as a basis to produce a small-capacity, fully-faired offshoot. It will also feature a different set of ergonomics and a slightly different engine tuning and gear ratios.

Presently, both TVS and BMW Motorrad have not confirmed anything officially. Should this allegation materialise, we will likely see BMW Motorrad producing a direct rival against the Yamaha YZF-R3, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the KTM RC390.
