Kawasaki Motors Malaysia has taken the wraps off of its latest model, the Z250SL. It’s also the company’s most exciting model not because of it’s looks or power but because of it’s price. At RM15,739, the new SL weighs in at just 148 is also a fantastic 20kg’s lighter than its fairinged brethren, the Z250. Powered by a single-cylinder, 249cc, 4-stroke engine mounted aboard a distinctive trellis frame, the SL is a slim pocket rocket that is bound to excite with its quick-revving engine, and small dynamics. Features of the SL include a digital bar-graph tachometer, digital speedometer, odometer, dual trip meters, clock and fuel gauge. Other performance and riding features include 37mm telescopic forks, lightweight wheels, uni-trak suspension that offers a smoother ride and stable handling, a radiator fan cover, petal disc brakes, electric starter and fuel injection. In a press release issued at the launch event, Kawasaki Motors Malaysia stated that the Z250SL is suitable for entry level riders, lady bikers and as a step up model for those upgrading from a moped or scooter.
