The world’s motorcycling press went bonkers when Ducati introduced the new Monster 821 late last year. Everyone was curious as to what Ducati would do with the Monster considering that Triumph’s Street Triple and Yamaha’s MT-09 were so good at what they do, that Ducati’s Monster was and would have continued to be relegated to just a bike with a grand brand, rather than a bike with tricks. Suzuki Assemblers Malaysia (SAM) had just launched the Address scooter today at the Shah Alam gokart circuit.

Its a slightly bigger scooter than compared to the Next and runs on 14inch wheels.

Apparently the name Address came about with a combination of two words, add and dress, which Suzuki’s idea of conveying how good the Address looks and it will match the rider even as they dress up for the occasion.

Power comes from a 6.9Kw single cylinder 113cc four-stroke fuel injected air-cooled engine combined with a CVT.

According to SAM MD Toru Kobayashi, the Address can go as far as 276km from its 5.2liter fuel tank.

Apart from two water bottle slots under the handlebar, riders also have a choice of an underseat storage of about 20.6litres enough for one full face helmet.

Another plus point on the scooter is the manual rear parking brake lock, however it did not come with a sidestand switch which stops the engine from starting if the sidastand is down.

We had a chance to test it out on the gokart circuit and off the line we noticed on how light the scooter was.
Acceleration was strong and smooth while it handles light and easy around the corners.

So far so good but the real judgement can only come as we get the scooter on the real world conditions, and for that we will have to wait for the full on test ride in the near future.

The Address comes in two colours, Celebration Red and Metallic Medium Blue and retails at RM4788.00 before GST

Boon Siew Honda had just launched the all new EX5 with fuel injection.

The bike company is cofident that the new EX5 FI will fullfil and even exceed its fan’s expectations.

At first glance the EX5 is unmistably the EX5 we have all grown up with but with distinct changes especially on the clear headlight and really big and visable rear light.

And instead of the rear repeaters being intergrated with the rear light, the new EX5 have its repeaters mounted on the sides of the rear assembly.

According to Boon Siew Honda, the bike have been tested on a normal japanese cycle ethod and the new EX5 FI fuel consumption is 40percent better.
The engine is 109.17cc and makes 6.23kw @ 7500rpm and 8.4Nm @ 6000rpm. The fuel tank takes 4.3L.

After the launch we were given a short test ride on the new bike and our first impression was that the new bike feels a bit more powerful.
Aceleration and throttle responce is also positive as we rode it pass 60km/h and 80km/h.

Another surprise is the ride quality, with 17inch wheels the new EX5 FI definately feels smoother to ride over rough surfaces compared to the older version.

We also spotted the favorite single or double preload adjustment on the rear shocks.

That said we do wish they had fitted disc brakes up front instead of a drum system.

While it does give a good initial bite, its not grippy enough to stop hard.
More about the bike as we get our hands on it for a slightly longer time.

For now the new EX5 FI comes in three colours, Euphoria Red, Vital Blue Metallic, Mariana Purple Metallic.

Apart from that you can choose between the kick starter model at RM4299 or electric starter at RM4529.
