KTM Malaysia announces availability of refreshed 2022 KTM 250 Duke naked featuring new lights, seat and colours, priced from RM21,500.

The refreshed 2022 KTM 250 Duke naked is now available in Malaysia. KTM Malaysia announced the model’s availability earlier this evening, with the firm stating that it will be one of the key headlines for its upcoming KTM Malaysia Tour 2022 effort.

In its new 2022 model year guise, the entry-level naked from the orange Austrian purveyors of two-wheeled fun machines features several light but key changes. At the top of the list is a brand new and full-LED headlight cluster complete with all-LED daytime running lights (DRL).

Besides that, KTM Malaysia says that the 2022 model is also endowed with a new two-part seat design that promises both a sporty riding position and enhanced comfort.

Furthermore, the 2022 KTM 250 Duke also gets two fresh new colourway options – Dark Galvano and Metallic Silver. The former features graphics and wheels finished in KTM’s signature tangerine hue, whilst the latter gets black graphics and wheels instead.

Apart from that, little else has changed, which isn’t bad news entirely. Dubbed as a ‘Street Brawler’, the 250 Duke packs a thumpy liquid-cooled 249cc single-cylinder heart brimmed with carbon-coated twin-cams (DOHC) delivering a peppy 30HP and 27NM of twist.

Said outputs powers the rear wheel through a six-speed box and chain-drive setup, the former further brimmed with KTM’s Power Assisted Slipper Clutch (PASC) suite boasting one finger lever operation and real wheel hop mitigation during aggressive downshifts.

The chassis, which harnesses KTM’s signature split steel trellis architecture, features WP Apex upside down (USD) front forks and rear shock combo, updated ByBre anchors featuring a quad-piston caliper and 320mm rotor setup up front, Bosch M9.1 ABS suite, as well as Metzeler Sportec M5 sport tyres.

Apart from all that, the 2022 KTM 250 Duke is also endowed with a digital LCD dash display, not forgetting a respectably large 13.4-litre fuel tank as well. All in all, this entry-level Duke naked from KTM covers all the basics and more.

As for price, KTM Malaysia has set a base sticker price of RM21,500 for this refreshed ‘baby’ Duke offering. Besides the aforementioned road show, the 2022 KTM 250 Duke will also be available through the brand’s authorised local dealer network as well.
