The recently launched 2020 Aprilia RS 660 got a lot of positive feedbacks ever since it made its maiden public appearance at EICMA 2019 in Milan, Italy. We can now confirm that the latest Aprilia middleweight will be making its way to Malaysia sometime at the end of the year. Oh, what joy!
This very exciting news was confirmed yesterday when one of the esteemed media members forwarded the question to one of Piaggio’s big guns of marketing, Nicola Capello, during the preview of the extremely limited and powerful 2020 Aprilia RSV4 X here in Malaysia (the very first appearance in the whole of Asia).
The 660cc parallel-twin sports bike is said to produce around 100hp and combined with a dry weight of only 168kg, the new 2020 Aprilia RS 660 sits at the very top of the middleweight list when it comes to power-to-weight ratio.
Other impressive specs include:
- APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) electronics suite
- Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)
- Cornering ABS
- Lean-angle-sensitive traction control
- Wheelie control
- Bi-directional quickshifter
- Power modes
- Active aerodynamics
Our best guess is that Aprilia Official Malaysia (Didi Resources) will bring in the new 2020 Aprilia RS 660 into the country sometime around the end of October when the Malaysia MotoGP round will take place.
