Italian electric bike manufacturer Energica has been selected as the sole engine supplier for the 2019 Moto-e World Cup.
After countless discussions, the Energica Ego has been chosen as the base race bike that produces around 140hp and 195Nm of maximum torque.
The new racing series is said to further innovate the world of motorcycle racing with state-of-the-art superbikes with none of the emissions.
After a long and tedious discussion between Dorna, FIM and other involved parties, the 2019 FIM Moto-e World Cup series has received its green lights. Italian electric bike manufacturer Energica has been chosen as the main (and only) engine supplier for the upcoming historic moment in motorcycle circuit racing.
The bike that the electric motorcycle racing series will be using is the Energica Ego. Tuned for racing, it is expected that the rave-version Energica Ego will be pushing well above the 110hp and 180Nm of maximum torque as these figures are already readily available for the Energica Eva EsseEsse9 street scrambler.
