The FIM and Dorna, MotoGP’s ruling bodies have released the provisional 2014 race calendar. Thought most of the dates remained the same, several changes were made for the Malaysian, Australian, and Japanese grand prix race dates.
The three aforementioned races will now have new dates, but remain in the same month of October. The order of MotoGP’s Asian flyaway tripleheader will start with Japan first in Motegi on October 12, followed by Australia in Philip Island a week later on October 19, whilst the Malaysian leg in the Sepang Circuit will take place on October 26, slightly later than usual.
Still in provisional state, the recent changes may not be final just yet. Some reports suggest that the new Brazillian GP circuit venue in Brasilia won’t be ready in time for its scheduled date on September 28, and that the Motorland Aragon race scheduled for September 21 would be pushed back by a week to September 28.
We will bring you reports if more changes are made. For now, here is the still provisional 2014 MotoGP race calendar with the new changes highlighted in bold.
