The Petronas Yamaha SRT (Sepang Racing Team) took the opportunity of the upcoming Sepang Winter Test to launch their latest 2020 livery on home soil. Proudly presenting their new colours, both team and riders, Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli are ready to step things up for the upcoming season.
Team Principal, Dato’ Razlan Razali, stated that they’re getting everything ready for the Winter Test as well as the 2020 season with support from main sponsor, Petronas, as well as Yamaha factory. With that being said, we can see that Fabio’s bike is the 2020 Yamaha YZR-M1 while Franco’s bike is still the 2019 version dressed in the Petronas Yamaha SRT colours.
High expectations have been set for both team and riders to achieve some positive results after an outstanding maiden season in the MotoGP premier class. With Fabio Quartararo being crowned the 2019 MotoGP Rookie of the Year plus Top Independent Rider and Petronas Yamaha SRT achieving the Top Independent Team, 2020 will be a challenge to step things up and hopefully score their first-ever victory.
