Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, has officially announced that the Movement Control Order has been extended to 14 April 2020. Due to the current conditions of the COVID-19 virus spread, the extension was placed to make sure that things will hopefully improve drastically rather than flip the other way around.
On the bright side, certain loans from banks will be put on hold for the next six months as announced by Bank Negara Malaysia. These loans include hire purchase and SMEs but not for credit cards, but you can refer to your respective banks for more clarification. It’s a pity that the Movement Control Order has to be extended for another two weeks. Small businesses that are forced to put their operations on hold will be the ones suffering the most as most of you have already understood, no business means no income means no salary payments for staff.

Hopefully, things will get better in the near future as our country and its people will strive to improve the situation that the whole world is currently facing at the moment. More infection cases and deaths have been reported around the globe due to COVID-19 and with this MCO, hopefully, things can be contained and remedied as soon as possible. Our prayers are with everyone.
