The BMW R nineT has been a symbol of the brand’s Heritage line and a lot of owners around the globe have been putting their own personal touches to call the bike their own. For one particular AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building winner, the garage has taken it to a whole new level with this custom BMW R nineT and it is out of this world!
Hailing from Russia, Zillers Garage was commissioned by BMW Motorrad Russia for this particular build. From the great mind of Dmitry Golubchikov, he wanted to incorporate the world of aviation into this particular custom bike and the results do not disappoint. Not even one bit.
Based on a 2016 BMW R nineT, everything was customised excluding the engine, final drive arm and some parts of the bike’s four-section frame. All in all, Zillers Garage took around 10 months to complete this masterpiece thanks to all its modern-retro aluminium bodywork which were all hand-formed like a champion.
Slammed low to the ground, Dmitry went to a lot of lengths in figuring out the correct lines for this particular custom machine. The inclusion of a functional cockpit (thanks to a Motogadget Motoscope mini speedometer), all form and function were designed to look sleek and seamless which go hand in hand with the bike’s form, front to back.
The best feature in our opinion? That slammed body doesn’t require any side or centre stand, it can sit (or stand) on its own! Zillers Garage incorporated a few buttons that control a pneumatic system that can lower the bike and rest it on the belly pan when parked and raise the bike up when it’s time to hit the roads.
Other outstanding features include:
- Custom 18-inch ‘turbine’ wheels
- 3D-printed air boxes
- Custom hydraulic clutch & brake master cylinders
- Muted monochrome grey paintwork
Enjoy looking at the photos and take your time with them, the details are too beautiful to just give them a once-over. Outstanding job, Zillers Garage, and Dmitry Golubchikov!
