National Malaysian oil firm Petronas launches new Euro 4M-spec Primax 97 RON 97 fuels nationwide.
Petronas marked the launch of its new and improved Euro 4M-spec Primax97 RON 97-grade fuels earlier today. The launch was held in the Technology Park Malaysia Petronas Station just off the KL-Seremban highway earlier today.
Present to launch the new fuel was Minister of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism YB Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin and Petronas’ CEO and vice president of downstream business Md Arif Mahmood. Also present here was a special contingent of superbikers from the Ducati Club of Malaysia (DCM).
The launch of the new Petronas Primax97 Euro 4M-spec RON 97 fuel comes ahead of the planned government deadline to implement Euro 4M-spec RON 97 by 1 September 2015.
The new Primax97 with Improved Advanced Energy Formula is a RON 97-grade fuel that now conforms to Euro 4M specifications. Petronas states that the fuel was developed to have lower benzene and sulphur content levels, as well as lowered Reid Vapour Pressure (RVP) levels as well. As a result, the new Primax97 fuel now promises less emissions and pollutants compared to the Euro 2M-spec RON 97 it replaces.
Additionally, the cleaner and greener new fuel uses a new formula developed by Petronas. The lowered benzene and sulphur content also promises greater engine protection plus a more efficient combustion as well.
The new Euro 4M-spec Petronas Primax97 is now available in all Petronas stations nationwide retailing for RM2.45 per litre.
