After we spotted the duo Cyberjaya recently, our friends at BMW Motorrad Malaysia finally introduced the all-new R nineT and S1000R earlier today.

If you don’t already know, the neo-roadster bike we come to know as the R nineT was named in commemoration of BMW Motorrad’s ninetieth anniversary. Power comes courtesy of a signature Motorrad chain-driven twin-cam 1,170cc air-cooled boxer twin, the mill develops 110hp and 119Nm of maximum torque.

Up front, the chassis is primed with upside down telescopic forks whilst the rear features a telelever unit to keep the exterior’s retro-like roadster design undisturbed.

And, if you were wondering, yes, Motorrad Malaysia will offer the full range of optional customisation exterior parts – roughly 200 of them. All in all, the R nineT offers the best of yesteryear in terms of design while the rest of it is a mix of more modern and current componentry.

Accompanying the R nineT was the highly anticipated S1000R naked supersports. Essentially, Motorrad’s new streetfighter is a fairng-less version of its already manic S1000RR supersports, meaning you get the same rev-happy 999cc in-line four cylinder heart, re-optimised to deliver 160hp and 112Nm of maximum torque.

The S1000R’s package also offers riders with multiple ride modes to select from. Most notable here is the ‘Dynamic Pro’ modes that offers riders a sportier ride with rear lift-off eliminated by the Race ABS system to allow riders to drift the supernaked around the bends.

Another notable standard kits is the brand’s Dynamic Damping Control or DDC that grants the S1000R with increased versatility between street and high-performance uses.
