Singapore’s Scorpio Electric has unveiled its first electric scooter prototype called the Scorpio Electric X Model. The country’s first fully-built electric motorcycle will be opened for pre-orders later in the year and will pave the way for many more exciting models in the future of electric mobility.
The X Model prototype consists of the brand’s three fundamental cores – design, technology, and performance. This ‘avant-garde’ façade offers the key to urban mobility that’s eco-friendly, but exciting at the same time. Not much else can be said about the looks apart from it being wicked awesome.
There’s no indicator on power output either, but Scorpio Electric plans to develop their X Model to be able to achieve a top speed of 100km/h with a range of around 200km for every full charge. According to Melvin Goh, Chief Executive of Scorpio Electric, “The future is electric. We believe we can make a difference by ushering in a new era of cleaner and more efficient way of transportation.”
Another major include smart connectivity via its mobile application platform, which can assist in security like vehicle whereabouts as well as optimizing riding operating efficiencies by learning from your daily rides on the electric scooter. It can even alert the user for any potential faults before it occurs. Smart.
We can also see other specs like gold upside-down forks, LED lighting system with daytime-running lights, super sleek rear LED brake lights, cast wheels, and disc brakes. There’s no indicator on the pricing just yet, but we sure hope it’ll be competitive enough to be absorbed into neighbouring countries like Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.
