Just when you thought that the 2021 Benelli 1200GT was going to be the new ‘bad boy’ of sport-touring, out comes the 2021 CFMoto 1250TR-G. By the looks of things, it is as ‘premium’ as it gets AND it is simply a gorgeous machine to feast your eyes on.

Thanks to its partnership with KTM, the 2021 CFMoto 1250TR-G is powered by the same 1,279cc V-Twin engine as the LC-8 and has been tuned to produce 140hp and 120Nm of torque. That’s slightly more powerful than the Benelli 1200GT and the BMW R 1250 RT.

There are also other premium parts and specs that were inspired by their partnership with KTM from premium components to sophisticated electronics. The 1250TR-G also get some premium parts courtesy of Brembo and WP Suspensions, just like KTM. Now that’s some quality stuff, ladies and gents.

Perhaps our favourite aspect of this latest and biggest CFMoto model yet is the incorporation of a 12.3-inch full-colour TFT screen and built-in stereo system with JBL speakers. Then there are other stock options like Bluetooth connectivity, heated seat and grips, electronically adjustable front windscreen, and the whole shebang for the ultimate touring experience.

So far, there’s no news on the pricing options or whether this baby will make its way to Malaysia. One thing is for sure, that price tag will definitely be competitive enough to give the big boys like BMW Motorrad a run for its money. We know they make great bikes, but competition is getting tougher and cheaper.
