2019 was the year when the world was once again introduced to a brand-new Suzuki Katana and people have been going mad about the bike. Hitting that nostalgic button just at the right spot, they’ve now announced a super limited edition for the French market in collaboration with a very popular American company, Icon Motorsports.
Only 10 units will be made for France and it comes with all the signature details associated with the very youthful and rebellious Icon Motorsports signature. If skulls and bright yellow fluorescents are up your alley, then this bad boy is perfect for those who want something a bit on the ‘wild’ side.
The Suzuki Katana Icon Motorsports edition also comes with a full exhaust system from Akrapovic which claims to boost the overall power output by 2hp and 2Nm while reducing the bike’s weight by 1kg. Other updates include a shorter aluminium license plate hanger with LED light, numbered inserts on fuel tank, and additional side protection pads.
Want one? You can go all the way to France and cough up €15,999 (around RM72,105) where you’ll also receive a very cool and matching Icon Airflite Stim Black full-face helmet. That’s considered a bargain considering that the Malaysian market can get one at around RM85,000. Curse you, motorcycle import duties….
