Berjaya Sompo Insurance Strengthens Its Commitment to Motorcyclists With Participation in Yamaha GenBlu Carnival
As part of its continuous commitment to promoting rider safety, Berjaya Sompo Insurance recently took part in the “Yamaha GenBlu Carnival”, which was held at Bandar Medini, Puteri Iskandar, Johor, on August 25, 2024.
The fifth edition of the carnival attracted over 16,008 motorcyclists, officially securing a spot in the Malaysia Book of Records for being the largest Yamaha motorcycle gathering event.
Berjaya Sompo Insurance participated in the event to raise brand awareness among motorcyclists about the company’s motorcycle and personal accident insurance coverage, as well as the MySOMPO app, which makes insurance easy for users.
In addition, Berjaya Sompo Insurance served as the official travel insurance sponsor for the Dewi Yamaha ‘Jelajah Semenanjung’ convoy, which included 26 female riders who travelled around Peninsular Malaysia, led by Ahirine Ahirudin, the Dewi Yamaha ambassador.
This convoy journey earned recognition in the Malaysia Book of Records for the “Longest Distance Motorcycle Ride by a Group (Female)” with a total distance of 2,518 km. Berjaya Sompo Insurance aimed to provide greater peace of mind to the participating riders with its SOMPO TravelSafe+, offering premium travel protection and personal accident coverage of up to RM2.6 million, along with a range of additional benefits.
In conjunction with the 67th Hari Merdeka, Berjaya Sompo Insurance collaborated with Boss James, the popular social influencer, to promote the MySOMPO Merdeka PA Giveaway. During the event, visitors and participants enjoyed exciting games like the Catching Game, and left with exclusive goodies, making the experience even more rewarding.
For the past three years, Berjaya Sompo Insurance has proudly partnered with Yamaha events, beginning with the thrilling GenBlue in Lumut, Perak, in 2022. Taking its support to the next level, Berjaya Sompo Insurance became the official sponsor of the adrenaline-pumping Berjaya SOMPO Yamaha Y16ZR Race Master Class at the Malaysian Superbike Championship, starting in 2023.
