Benelli Malaysia to compete in the super moped segment with the new R18i priced at RM7,999.
Unlike 150cc powering the RFS150i, the R18i is packed with a 174cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine capable of producing 18hp @ 9,500rpm, and 15.1Nm @ 7,000rpm mated to a 6-speed transmission.
According to Benelli, the suspension setup is handled by an upside-down (USD) fork at the front and an adjustable Kayaba (KYB) mono-shock at the rear.
Meanwhile, the braking is done by a single 240mm disc brake at the front and 220mm at the rear, the same dimension found on the Benelli RFS150i.
Other important features include a 4.8L fuel tank, 126kg (dry) weight, 787mm seat height and 17″ rims.
The Benelli R18i is available in the colour options, special edition blue, red and black and comes with a two-year warranty or 20,000km (whichever comes first).
