The 2020 FIM CEV Repsol championship recently concluded in Valencia last weekend where our national Moto2 rider, Adam Norrodin, closed off the season with an impressive 7th place in the overall championship.
It was a tough uphill battle but the 22-year-old rider for the Liqui Moly Intact SIC Junior Team fought against some of the best young riders in the world and finishing P7 overall is a huge step in the right direction.
According to Adam Norrodin after the final race at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, “It was a tough second race just now. I started the race good. I was in P5 for a while and maintain in P6 until the last 2 laps. I pushed really hard as this is the final race of the season. After 10 laps, it’s hard for me to push to my limit with my body condition. I ended the race in P8.”
“Anyway, we did our best. We know on what aspects we need to improve. I am in P7 in the overall championship. It has been a hectic season with ups and downs and I will take all positive things and be better. Thank you!” added the promising Malaysian rider.
With massive experience collected in the FIM CEV Repsol championship, Adam is looking forward to more positive results in the 2021 season. If it all goes well, we wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up in the Petronas SRT squad come 2022. All the best, Adam!
