If you feel that the 2021 Yamaha Tracer 9 is a bit out of reach, then maybe the 2021 Yamaha Tracer 7 GT might just cure all that sport-touring cravings at a more affordable price tag. Judging by the looks, we think it’ll do wonders if Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) decides to bring it here.
Based on the Yamaha Tracer 700, the 2021 Tracer 7 GT carries that same design DNA from the Tracer 9. It looks sleek and modern thanks to that half-fairing design and aggressive face paired together with those twin LED projector headlights, position lamps, and flashers.
As for firepower, the Tracer 7 GT comes with an updated 689cc CP2 parallel-twin engine that churns out a healthy 72hp which has been tuned to be more responsive in order to deliver a strong yet linear torque throughout its rev range. It is also now Euro5-compliant.
To tackle long-distance travelling, this mid-range Yamaha Tracer comes with a higher and wider windscreen for extra protection from the elements. Unbreakable and scratch-resistant, this windscreen offers greater comfort along with the bike’s new comfort seats.
Other noteworthy specs include:
- Multi-function LCD display
- 20-litre side cases
- 41mm front cartridge forks
- Preload & rebound adjustable rear shock
- 17-litre fuel tank + more
