Last weekend marked the arrival of the 2020 Ducati Streetfighter V4 into the Malaysian market thanks to the folks from Ducati Malaysia. We went to the Ducati Petaling Jaya showroom to see it with our own eyes and now, they’ve officially announced the price tags for both the Streetfighter V4 and V4 S models.
For the base 2020 Ducati Streetfighter V4, you can opt one for only RM115,900 (excluding insurance, road tax & registration). This is RM17,000 cheaper than the 2020 Ducati Panigale V4 considering the fact that both models carry the same 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine.
As for the range-topping Streetfighter V4 S, this baby will only set you back at RM145,900, which is a whopping RM26,100 cheaper than the new Panigale V4 S. And it has twice the winglets up front. And semi-electronics Ohlins suspensions. And lightweight Marchesini forged wheels (compared to the base Streetfighter V4, of course).
Tuned to deliver 208hp, the new Streetfighter is only producing 6hp less than its full-fairing brother but if you feel like that’s not enough (only crazy folks would think 208hp for a naked bike is not enough), Ducati Malaysia also brought in the special Akrapovic full-system exhaust that’ll bump that figure up to 220hp AND reduced its overall weight by 6kg.
If you’re interested in getting the Akrapovic setup, it’s going to cost you over RM30,000. It might sound steep, but this titanium work of art with its ability to easily raise the power output by 12hp just by installing it speaks for itself.
