There have been several notable limited-edition Ducati models unveiled in the past few years and their latest version has arrived here in Malaysia; the 2020 Ducati Panigale V4 25th Anniversario 916. There are only 500 units produced for the entire planet and Malaysia has one.
But before you go to the bank, we also have to mention that there’s already a buyer for this beauty and Ducati Malaysia has priced it at a very cool RM359,900. If you hurry, you might be able to catch a glimpse of it at the Ducati Petaling Jaya showroom before it gets delivered to that very lucky owner. The Ducati Panigale V4 25th Anniversario 916 is definitely a bike you would want to see with your own eyes.
Ducati’s latest limited-edition model combines the very essence of the Panigale V4, Panigale V4 R, and the Superleggera all into one bike. That’s a cool idea considering that the bike pays tribute to the infamous 916 model which won the World Superbikes championship in its debut season (and three more after that).
Designed with the livery inspired by the Ducati 996 SBK bike ridden to the world superbikes championship title thanks to the legendary Carl “Foggy” Fogarty back in 1999, the number 1 decal was placed proudly to showcase the bike’s physical championship-winning prowess.
The Ducati Panigale V4 25th Anniversario 916 unit in Malaysia is the 11th unit of the limited production line and it carries a lot of goodies from carbon fibre panels, billet aluminium parts, race-inspired specs, and many more. Our favourite parts have to be the Marchesini Racing magnesium wheels and a very special Akrapovic titanium silencer.
Other specs that differentiate it from the normal Ducati Panigale V4 are STM EVO-SBK dry clutch, Ducati Corse-spec front frame (similar to the V4 R), Racing Plexiglas bubble windshield, bi-colour rider seat, racing handgrips, and several electronic goodies to make it worthy as a limited-edition Ducati model.
For those of you who have the money and passion to own one of these bad boys, just head over to any of the authorised Ducati dealers and make your voices heard. Who knows, they might just bring another unit in (if there’s any left available). Go on, just do it!
