Boon Siew Honda plans to expand their motorcycle line-up for 2018 with around ten new models.
Two of these new models will cater to a growing demand for adventure bikes.
Apart from the recently introduced 2017 Honda CRF250L series, we can expect to see the Honda X-ADV and Africa Twin on our shores sometime next year.
The world of motorcycling has been witnessing quite a huge jump new and current riders going for a much more versatile two-wheelers. Touring, dual-sport and adventure bikes have been placed right in the spotlight for those looking for more than just entry-level cubs or manic superbikes.
Honda motorcycles have been actively extending their line-up of adventure bikes with quite a few models and Boon Siew Honda has big plans to bring these new 2018 models as fast as they can to our Malaysian shores.
During the recent Honda RC213V-S media test ride held at the Sepang International Circuit, BSH announced that their 2018 line-up will consist of ten new models including two very interesting blurred out images of what we think are the Honda X-ADV adventure scooter and the highly-regarded Honda Africa Twin.

Looking at the Honda X-ADV, automatic motorcycles are the last thing people will think of when it comes to proper adventure riding. BSH recently showcased the highly-anticipated machine during the Honda Asian Journey 2017 in conjunction with MotoGP and it is safe to say that is boils everything down to the very essence of owning a motorcycle; the joy of riding.
As for the Africa Twin otherwise known as one of the world’s most successful adventure bikes, none of the models have officially been made available here in the country apart from a few grey imports. Looks like Boon Siew Honda has plans to change all of that come 2018 where we think Malaysians can finally look forward into owning a brand new and properly-imported Honda Africa Twin.
As of now, those who are looking into entering the world of adventure riding can opt for their latest releases; the 2017 Honda CRF250L and Honda CRF250 Rally. Launched just a few months ago in August, these babies are built for toughness, robust riding and offer superb comfort and agility both on and off the road.
Powered by a 249cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, both CRF models produce 24.4hp and 22.6Nm of maximum torque. Coupled with refreshed and updated styling cues, the new CRF250L is made to get more riders especially the younger generation into the wonderful world of adventure riding.

Priced from RM24,378 (basic price with GST), the 2017 Honda CRF250L range is indeed an affordable piece of machinery with exquisite off-road capabilities which also performs surprisingly well on the streets. These are indeed good choices when it comes to adventure bikes if you simply can’t wait for the X-ADV or Africa Twin to arrive.
We know all too well as we feel the same way. In other words, we can’t wait for 2018 to arrive.
