Indian Chieftain Dark Horse sees Indian’s new bagger de-chromed and taking a much darker presence.
Meet the new 2016 Indian Chieftain Dark Horse. It is essentially a de-chromed and darker iteration of the gargantuan Indian Chieftain bagger that was introduced back in 2014.
The blacked-out 2016 Indian Chieftain Dark Horse sports a matte black paint covering almost every surface including the fenders, fairing, fuel tank and bags, which are blacked out. Retained here is the liquid cooled 1,811cc V-twin heart fron the Indian Chief.
The same treatment is given to the headdress, forks, mirrors, handlebars and switch cubes, turn signals, tank console, engine and airbox cover, lower controls, floorboards and taillight housing. Much of this darker styling is similar to what the Indian Chief Dark Horse cruiser was treated to.
The Chieftain Dark Horse features a short, single-seat layout as standard, power tinted windscreen, remote-locking hard bags, keyless ignition, ABS brakes plus cruise control, as well as an audio system with ith AM/FM and Bluetooth and a smartphone input.
In America, the 2016 Indian Cheiftain Dark Horse is now on sale at US$ 21,999. You can check out more of this blacked-out bagger in the extensive gallery we’ve prepared below.
