New Royal Enfield Classic 350 Redditch unveiled

Royal Enfield Classic 350 Redditch features aesthetic makeover and new colours inspired by original Redditch factory.

Indian manufacturer Royal Enfield has updated its line up for 2017 after introducing a new rendition of its staple Classic 350 model. Called the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Redditch, it features an aesthetic makeover plus new colours.

The Redditch name sees Royal Enfield paying homage to one of its original factories from the 1950s. This also inspired the three new colour schemes made available for the model – red, blue and green.

“The Classic is one of the most loved motorcycles from Royal Enfield. Looking back into our decades old legacy, we have given the Classic a makeover taking cues from the motorcycles produced at Redditch, Royal Enfield’s birthplace in the UK” said Royal Enfield president Rudratej Singh.

Unlike the regular Classic 350 (pictured above), the Classic 350 Redditch version gets a single-seater layout plus new contrasting black accents setting it apart. Mechanically, it is likely that little has changed from the base bike’s air-cooled, twin-spark 346cc single-cylinder and 5-speed transmission setup.

Presently, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Redditch is only available on sale in India where it retails on-the-road for Rs1,46,093 (approx. RM75,522). There also reportedly no plans to extend the special colour scheme into the Classic 500 model that’s exported for overseas market.
