Newly unveiled Yamaha VMAX Carbon celebrates Japanese muscle bike’s 30th anniversary.
Yamaha has taken the wraps off a new special edition version of its VMAX muscle cruiser. Celebrating the VMAX model’s 30th anniversary is the Yamaha VMAX Carbon.
As its name suggest, Yamaha has essentially dressed up this muscle cruiser with a list of carbon fibre parts covering the VMAX’s tank, mudguard, and bodywork.
Giving the 200hp 1,697cc V4 engine some ‘zing’, Yamaha also teamed up with Slovenian exhaust experts Akrapovic, resulting in the presence of the latter brand’s slip-on exhaust muffler seen here.
All else remain unchanged including the aluminum dual-spar frame, folloed by the twin 320mm disc brakes up front with six-pot radial calipers, as well as the massive 298mm rear disc brake unit that stops the VMAX’s huge 200/50-18-sized rear tire.
Presently, the Yamaha VMAX Carbon is available exclusively in Europe, priced at about €22,500. While we won’t be seeing it in our part of the world anytime soon, that should not stop you from browsing through the gallery we’ve provided for you viewing pleasure below.
