The Shell Advance ‘Win The Ride of Your Choice’ contest came to close, rewarding its three grand prize winners recently with their new dream bike of choice.
The contest ran from June 1 until Aug 15, saw more than 12,000 entries submitted from participant nationwide. The contest required participants to first purchase any 1-litre pack of Shell Advance 4T motorcycle oil. Then, participants had to answer a simple question found on the oil pack’s label via SMS, accompanied with a unique code that is also found on the pack’s label.
The three grand prize winners each had the chance to choose from three bike models as their new dream bike. The option included a Honda CBR250R sports bike, a Kawasaki KLX250 dual-purpose, and a Vespa GTS250 retro-styled scooter. The bikes chosen by the winners will also come in a unique paintjob scheme, designed exclusively for the Shell competition.
First of three grand prize winners was 26-year-old Abdul Rohim Salleh, a mechanic from Penang. Next came 26-year-old merchant seaman Phan Chin Siong of Johor. The final winning spot went to 51-year-old Shahbudin Saad, a former soldier from Sungai Petani.
Although the three had the choice between the Honda, Kawasaki, and Vespa, all three reportedly chose the Honda. More information regarding Shell Advance’s product range and its ‘Win The Ride of Your Choice’ can be obtained online via Shell Malaysia’s official site.
