Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn. Bhd. (HLYM) today introduced the latest addition to its lineup – the XV950R Bolt.
Priced at RM52,500 (excluding road tax and insurance), the cruiser is powered by a 4 stroke, 942 cc air cooled, V-twin fuel-injected engine. Mated to the mill is a constant mesh 5-speed gearbox. While maximum output stands at 52.1PS, peak torque is rated at 79.5Nm. Notable features on the Yamaha XV950R Bolt include ABS technology, a remodelled exhaust system, 3D ECU mapping, a compact air intake system, a double cradle steel frame, 12-spoke wheels with Wave discs, as well as a generous dosage of matte-finished components.
Aimed at those looking for an affordable, yet powerful cruiser, the Yamaha XVR950R Bolt is HLYM’s fourth major model in its big bike line-up, complementing the XJ6, MT07 and the MT-09. According to Yamaha, the XV950R Bolt is a neo-retro Japanese bobber which offers owners a world of customisation options, thanks to its ‘raw’ design. The new Yamaha XV950R Bolt CBU is expected to be available at selected authorised Yamaha dealerships beginning next week.
