Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Voge has introduced the 2022 Valico 300 Rally variant in Italy.

  • the 300 Rally now joins the base strim in Italy.
  • features 292cc single-cylinder engine that puts out 28.6hp and 25Nm. 

The Rally variant will now join the based model launched just one month ago in the country.

Powered by the same engine as the standard trim, the Valico 300 Rally features a 292cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine that pumps a respectable 28.6hp @ 9,000rpm and 25Nm @ 6,500rpm.

The drivetrain is mated to a six-speed manual transmission with the engine fed from an 11L fuel tank. In addition, Voge claimed that the Rally could reach around 300 kilometres with a full tank of gas.

Like the base model, the Valico 300 Rally is fitted with high-strength steel tubes, an upside-down front fork with 205mm of travel, and an adjustable preload mono-shock at the rear.

Braking is done with a single axial-mounted calliper with a 265mm disc at the front and 220mm disc at the rear and regulated by a dual-channel ABS. The ABS can also be deactivated. 

Considering the Rally is a motorcycle built for gnarly road conditions, the Valico 300 Rally features all the necessary aspects to make it off-road capable, including a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel, 1,430mm wheelbase and seat height of 905mm. Weighs just 150kg (dry), the Rally is suitable for not only experienced riders but also beginners.

Other notable features include:

According to Voge, the Valico 300 Rally is available in Italy for a recommended selling price of EUR4,440 (RM20.4k). 

 

Last week, TVS Motor Company was said to be launching a cruiser-styled motorcycle in India, dubbed the Ronin. 

  • The TVS Ronin is a neo-retro scrambler.
  • To feature USD forks and alloy wheels, including a compact instrument cluster.

However, the third biggest two-wheel maker in India has revealed that the upcoming Ronin is not a production version of the Zeppelin concept cruiser but instead a neo-retro scrambler.

According to the latest leaked images, the Ronin scrambler will feature:

  • golden USD fork
  • upright riding ergonomics
  • multi-spoke alloy wheels
  • single-piece saddle
  • circular LED headlight
  • compact instrument cluster
  • engine bash plate

Although the exact specifications remain unknown, based on reports, the Ronin will run an air and oil-cooled 223cc single-cylinder engine capable of producing around 20hp and 20Nm.

The all-new TVS Ronin will be launched in India on 6 July 2022.

Ducati will return to EICMA Motorcycle Show on 8-15 November after a two-year absence.

The biggest motorcycle show in the world was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic but was back in full action last year.

However, Ducati was among the notable manufacturers missing from the event, along with KTM and BMW.

Instead, the Borgo Panigale factory unveiled its new range of bikes by releasing a series of videos of its forthcoming models – including the Multistrada V4 (2020) and Ducati DesertX (2021).

Nevertheless, the 2022 edition will go ahead, with Ducati confirmed as one of the industry’s leading manufacturers to participate following its absence in 2021.

Although the web series was considered a success, with the Multistrada V4 becoming one of Europe’s top adventure motorcycles, EICMA is still considered the best platform in terms of engagement.

Also, Ducati has confirmed it will continue its web series format alongside its scheduled presence at EICMA, with the company will showcase its new model range at the same time in a live stream.

European Parliament has confirmed that the sales of carbon-emitting combustion vehicles will end by 2035.

The European Parliament voted to end the sales of new combustion back in May, and that decision has now been confirmed.

It is understood that confirmation was required due to a recent attempt by some countries to amend the legislation by delaying the parliament’s decision.

According to reports, Italy are one of the countries who would like to push the date to 2040 instead of 2035 in an effort to protect one of its significant vehicle manufacturers, such as Ferrari.

However, the request for amendment was immediately rejected by European lawmakers whom reiterated that 2035 is the end date for combustion vehicles.

The European nation aims to be climate-neutral by 2050, an economy with net zero greenhouse gas emission.

The 2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster officially unveiled in Malaysia at the 10th Art Of Speed event at MAEPS, Serdang.

Despite the classic silhouette, the Nightster is equipped with modern safety equipment including Harley’s Rider Safety Enhancement, including ABS, rear-wheel control and three riding modes; Road, Sport and Rain.

The Nightster is fitted with (non-adjustable) Showa Dual Bending Valve front forks, preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers, single front and rear disc with axially mounted 4-pot callipers.

Available in Vivid Black, Gunship Grey and Redline Red, the 2022 Nightster is available for a recommended selling price of RM93,900.
