That said, the 2023 Kawasaki ZX-10R continue to make 203hp @ 13,200rpm and 112Nm @ 11,400rpm from its 998cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, inline-four cylinder engine.

Although built as a full-blown race bike, the ZX-10R also packs a few road-focused features, including cruise control.

Meanwhile, the new generation ZX-10R is yet to be available in Malaysia as the new distributor, MODENAS, will only bring in the new motorcycle in 2023. This means we will likely get the new KRT edition next year.

Honda has temporarily stopped accepting orders for 10 models due to a supply chain issue.

Due to multiple factors such as lockdowns due to the new coronavirus infection overseas, congestion in marine transportation and harbors worldwide, and semiconductor supply shortages, product and parts arrivals have been delayed,” said Honda.

In addition to the logistic issue, Honda also said that the current law regarding exhaust regulation in Japan are also affecting bike’s production.

Unfortunately, Honda could not confirm when will they be taking new orders again.

“Regarding the resumption of orders for the target products, we will inform you again from this site and Honda motorcycle authorized dealers. We will continue to do our best to deliver products to our customers as soon as possible, so we appreciate your understanding.”

Nevertheless, it remains unclear whether the temporary suspension is just for the Japanese market or it will also affect the global market as well.

Although the iconic GSX-R1000 lifespan might end, the smallest GSX-R family, the GSX-R125 and GSX-S150, has been given a new breath of life for 2022.

  • Suzuki is to continue selling the GSX-R125 and GSX-S125.
  • Both motorcycle now meets the Euro5 emission standard.

The pint-size GSX-R125 and GSX-S150 now meet Euro5 emission standards, which means both motorcycles can continue to be sold in Europe.

Although the GSX-R nameplate is familiarised with Suzuki’s 1000cc superbike, it is the 125cc variant that went to become the brand’s most popular sportsbike globally.

This could mean that the Hamamatsu factory might continue selling the small capacity sportbike while the GSX-R1000 could get axed for failing to meet the Euro5 emission compliance before the end of the year.

Nevertheless, the 124cc engine found in the GSX-R125 and GSX-S125 continues to pump 15hp but in a cleaner fashion.

Also, both models feature LED headlights, a digital instrument cluster and Suzuki Easy Start System.

“I am really looking forward to the Suzuka race. I’ve already been there twice with the Penz13 team, once for the test and once for the race.

“The track is breath-taking but very difficult to learn so it took us some time to get acquainted with it. Jérémy knew it already but for me it has been some time since I have been here and Ilya had not been here before at all.

“We then improved step by step, rode a lot and tested a lot of different things. We are still lacking a bit to the top teams but we don’t give up and continue or hard work. It will be an exhausting weekend,” said Reiterberger.
