FIRST LOOK: 2025 Buell SuperTouring 1190

Buell Motorcycle has unveiled the production-ready SuperTouring 1190 at the ongoing 2023 Daytona Bike Week. This comes after the brand’s 2022 prototype failed to live up to expectations when it was unveiled last year.

While the bodywork remains largely unchanged, the new front fairing is a significant upgrade over the 2022 prototype’s boxy headlamp cluster. The updated fascia, developed in partnership with renowned industrial designer J. Ruiter, features winglets that give the SuperTouring a modern, sleek look.

Under the surface, the SuperTouring still features Buell’s 1,190cc ET-V2 engine. The 72-degree V-twin generates 185 horsepower at 10,600 rpm and 102 ft-lbs of torque at 8200 rpm.

Buell Motorcycle CEO Bill Melvin expressed his optimism for the SuperTouring 1190, stating that it will lead the American market in speed, handling, and performance. He added that Buell is building a strong reputation as a small, responsive company that provides a unique customer experience.

Melvin also noted that despite supply chain challenges, the SuperTouring 1190 is on target for production to begin this fall. With the bike’s significant improvements over the past year, it’s clear that Buell has high hopes for its upcoming contender.

Buell’s unveiling of the SuperTouring 1190 at Daytona Bike Week shows that the brand is back and ready to compete in the performance touring segment. With its sleek design and powerful engine, the SuperTouring is sure to turn heads and capture the attention of motorcycle enthusiasts.

WMOTO Bobbie VII Officially Announced For The Malaysian Market – RM35,888

Revving up the excitement of motorcycle enthusiasts, Mforce Bike Holdings Sdn. Bhd. has unveiled the latest addition to the WMOTO classic line-up – the Bobbie VII.

The grand reveal took place at the official Mforce Smart Shop Kajang ceremony, hosted by Ca Cycle Advance (Kajang) Sdn. Bhd, on Sunday.

Boasting of timeless elegance, the WMOTO Bobbie VII is a head-turner, available in two distinct colors – Matte Black and Metallic Black. The classic motorcycle style is enhanced by a rounded light-shaped light styling, aptly fitting the moniker “Classical Legend.”

But don’t let the old-school looks fool you. The Bobbie VII packs a punch with its 693cc engine, two cylinders, and 4-stroke system, delivering a maximum power of 74hp at 8,500rpm and 64nm at 6,500rpm. Modern technology meets classic style, with full LED lights and a digital meter display that gives all vital information.

Safety is also a priority, with a dual-channel anti-lock (ABS) system, USB chargers to keep your gadgets juiced up, and a high-quality adjustable seat for rider comfort. And let’s not forget the golden “Bobbie” logo on the rider and passenger seat, adding a touch of luxury.

2023 Honda Vario 125 Now Available In Malaysia – RM7,080

Coming in new for the Malaysian market is the Honda Vario 125 compact scooter priced at RM7,080 excluding registration and insurance.

The Vario 125 features a compact 125cc single-cylinder engine that makes 11hp.

Adopting a similar bodywork to the outgoing Vario 150, the 125cc variant also offers the same features albeit with a slightly updated package.

That said, the Vario 125 still features the same 18L under-seat storage, Honda SMART key system with Anti-theft alarm, Answer Back system, full LED lighting and a fully digital instrument cluster.

However, the 125cc gets a USB charger port which was not available on the Vario 150.

Powering the Vario 125 is a single cylinder 125cc 4-stroke with liquid-cooled Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) engine capable of cranking 11hp @ 8,500rpm and 11.74Nm @ 5,000rpm.

The Honda Vario 125 runs on a pair of 14-inch wheels shod with 90/80 at the front and 100/80 at the rear.

According to Boon Siew Honda, the Honda Vario 125 comes in three exciting colours; Yellow, Blue and Red.

Indian’s Offering 29 Units Of The Challenger RR Race Bikes

Indian Motorcycle and S&S Cycle have teamed up to commemorate Tyler O’Hara’s 2022 King of the Baggers championship win in a unique and wonderful way.

Both parties is creating a limited run of the ‘track-only’ Indian Challenger RR King of the Baggers race. The Indian Challenger RR is an extreme bagger racer that costs around USD100,000 (RM451k) and is built to full 2022 racing specifications, making it impossible to ride on the road.

Based on reports, the UK will only get one bike, while the other 28 will be distributed between Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, and Japan.

The limited-run machines are being built to celebrate O’Hara’s success, and only 29 will be made, which is the number of bikes he ran over the 2022 season.

Based on Indian’s 1768cc Challenger V-twin cruiser, the limited-run Challenger RR will undergo a massive transformation to make it race-ready. The engine will be upgraded with a new camshaft, a 112 CID big-bore cylinder/piston kit, a new air intake, and CNC ported cylinder heads.

Protecting the motor is an S&S belly pan, and sportier foot controls assist with ground clearance. The bike is also fitted with a quickshifter and a billet clutch cover.

The suspension has been upgraded, and 17-inch rims with Dunlop treaded race tires have replaced the standard 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels. Fully-adjustable Öhlins FGR250 front forks and an Öhlins TTX rear shock provide excellent handling.

The bike has been converted to chain drive, and the swingarm has been modified to cope with the additional power required in the corners.

OFFICIAL: Modenas Vulcan S Now Available In Malaysia – From RM36,500

Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (EMOS), the subsidiary of Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (MODENAS), has announced the price of its latest sports cruiser, the Modenas Vulcan S (ABS).

The Vulcan S is the first 650cc model to be rebadged by Modenas.

The new model features Kawasaki’s renowned 649cc liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine, which is also found in the Ninja 650. The Vulcan S is tuned to achieve maximum linear power of 61hp and maximum torque of 62.4 Nm.

What sets the Vulcan S cruiser apart from other models is the “Ergo Fit” system that allows riders of all sizes to use the reduced reach setting, which makes the bike feel like it was built-to-fit each rider.

The model also features an 18-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, which is close to a sports model, for natural and nimble handling. The low center of gravity allows riders to take deep leaning turns with confidence and ease.

The Vulcan S has a modern and sporty look with its inverted triangle headlamp and compact gauge cluster that sports an analogue tachometer.

All other information is shown on the multi-function LCD display that uses a blue LED backlight for projecting excellent visibility at night. The standard seat height of 705mm is extremely comfortable for the rider, and the motorcycle is easily maneuverable and super comfortable during high and low speed riding.

According to Roslan Roskan, Chief Executive Officer, MODENAS, the Vulcan S is one of the Kawasaki models that has long been awaited by customers.

The motorcycle is built to fit all sizes and ages and will help welcome edgy riders, old and new, into the sport without hurting their wallets too much. The Vulcan S comes in two different colors and prices: Metallic Flat Spark Black retailing at RM36,500 and Pearl Matte Sage Green at RM37,200, both of which will be available in all Kawasaki Dealer showrooms by the end of March 2023.

OFFICIAL: Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Now In Malaysia – From RM22,000

The all-new Royal Enfield Hunter 350 which was introduced globally back in August 2022 has officially make its way to Malaysia.

Available in two variants, the Metro Rebel and Metro Dapper – with the only difference between the two models is the colour scheme – is priced at RM22,200 and RM22,000 respectively.

Powering the Hunter 350 is the same 349cc single-cylinder J-series engine found in the Meteor and Classic. The engine pumps out 20.2hp @ 6,100rpm and 27Nm @ 4,00rpm, with Royal Enfield claiming a max speed of 114km/h. Meanwhile, power is delivered to the rear wheel via a five-speed manualtransmission and chain final drive.

While the Indian market gets 17-inch wired spoked (non-tubeless) and alloy wheels, only the latter is available for the Malaysian market due to the former is fitted with drum brake which does not meet the local homologation.

That said, Malaysian gets the 17-inch alloy wheels with 110/70 at the front and 140/70 tubeless tyre at the rear. The Hunter 350 is also fitted with hydraulic disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.
