2014 Ducati Scrambler vid

The third and last episode in the Ducati Scrambler “Franco & Elvira Story” is out; it finally shows the basic shape (though putty like) as Franco takes Elvira to the World Ducati Week.

If you had missed them, the videos – the plasticine protagonists of which were hand-made by three talented nineteen-years-olds from Bologna – tell an imaginative story of how the Scrambler Ducati ended up in the present day.

As the storyline goes, Franco, a man from 2078, is catapulted by a time machine (which somehow looks very similar to the Delorean from the Back To The Future movie) back to the Woodstock festival of August 1969 where he meets and falls in love with both Scrambler Ducati and Elvira.

They joyously elope on the bike, yet before the two can even kiss the time machine hurls them forwards to the present day, to 2014. Franco and Elvira find themselves directly in front of the fabulous “yellow container” – first visited by Ducati employees and then the enthusiasts who flocked to WDW 2014 – from which they exit astride the new Scrambler Ducati.

Unfortunately, it will be almost another two months before we get to see the actual bike when it is officially presented on 30th September during Intermot 2014 in Cologne, Germany. View the video below.

Last weekend was the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, for all of you who don’t know, its one of the biggest bike gathering in the world.
It started back in 1938 with mostly Harley owners but over the years especially now, there have been a good mixes of bikes at the event.

Its only fitting that Indian Motorcycles decided to reveal their latest bike, the 2015 Indian Scout at Sturgis. Apparently this is the first `to carry that name in 70 years.

The bike company had managed to retain much of the original looks but also modernise the machine for better performance and reliability.
The main challenge was to the rear shockers as they were set at a shallow angle in order to follow the sleek frame profile. A lot hours were put into it to make it work.

Ducati Corse officially announced in a short communique that Crutchlow’s contract will be terminated ahead of time while his replacement will be Andrea Iannone.

With Andrea Dovizioso and Iannone confirmed for 2015, the Ducati Corse racing team will be an all-Italian team again after Rossi switched back to Yamaha.

Iannone previously raced for the Pramac Racing team.

The guys in FSR Technology are real teasers, last week they released a picture and some information on their FB page about a standalone programmable ecu called Tuneboss for the Yamaha FZ150i and Lagenda.

Yesterday they were at it again but this time even worst, posting a picture of the Tuneboss and an android phone next to it which had what looks like an app to connect to the Tuneboss wirelessly and thats it.

Now the boys are a bit tight lip about releasing more information than what they already have right now, before the actual launch which is in a few weeks. But luckily we have our ways to get more info, unconfirmed of course as its not directly form FSR Technology themselves but close enough. Never underestimate the power of “teh tarik”. You just have to love Malaysians, we’re so easy that way.

So far from what we can gather is that users can connect to the Tuneboss wirelessly to their android phone for wireless tuning capability, even the full tuning app on the pc will be using the same wireless connection. But not mentioned is what type of wireless which could eitherbe Bluetooth or wifi.

The phone app will have fuel, ignition, rpm limiter adjustment, including advanced diagnostics which means, theres no need to look at the silly blinking engine light like on the original factory diagnostic tool, it will tell you exactly what the problem is.

Thats it for now, or until FSR Technology do another teaser before the launch.

2015 Victory Magnum

Reports are out that Victory America had just launched its 2015 line-up which includes the 2015 Magnum. Just like the richly tasting chock covered vanilla ice cream, the Victory Magnum rolls out already brimming with the latest factory custom styling one can think off, just like the Cross Country but with more attitudes.

It starts with a 21inch front wheel handled by the ape hanger bar, super low seat (667mm off the ground) and all visually cascades down into the twin hard cases in the back.

2015-Magnums1

Power comes from the standard Victory engine line up, a 1731cc air-cooled V-twin producing about 90hp.

Cruise control and a 100 watt six-speaker system comes as standard and if that is still not enough there is an option to stick more speakers on the hard case saddlebags
