MotoGP: Fabio Quartararo Takes Fourth Pole In Mugello

Fabio Quartararo recorded his fourth consecutive pole position in style at Mugello ahead of Sunday’s Italian GP.

The factory Yamaha rider displayed incredible speed to clinch pole position with 1m 45.187s, breaking the lap record set by Francesco Bagnaia in FP3 with 1m 45.456s.

“This was probably the best lap I have ever done in my life.

“This is the type of track where you can feel the adrenaline. I was on the limit everywhere. In the first sector, I was moving all the time, but I just said, ‘I’m going to send it.

“Today was a good day. I really wanted this pole position because I know it’s important for us for the race,” said Quartararo.

Meanwhile, Bagnaia and Johann Zarco will accompany Quartararo at the front row after securing P2 and P3, respectively.

Despite struggling with a group of riders seeking a slipstream, Zarco managed to move up from twelfth place, thus putting him in an excellent spot to continue chasing the championship points.

Aleix Espargaro secured another impressive start to the season by coming in at P4, his best qualifying result so far onboard the RS-GP.

Jack Miller is also looking to continue his back-to-back wins in Jerez and Le Mans from P5 on the grid.

Petronas SRT Ohvale Special Series MiniGP Now Available – Limited To Just 46 Units!

In collaboration with Ohvale, Petronas Sepang Racing Team (PSRT) is proud to bring you the limited edition Special Series MiniGP motorcycle.

Limited to only 46 units, the PSRT Ohvale Special Series MiniGP is build based on the Ohvale 160cc GP-0 but with a host of key enhancements and features.

It is the same motorcycle endorsed by DORNA and FIM for the FIM MiniGP World Series Championship.

The limited-edition motorcycle comes with an upgraded chassis to fit taller riders, fully adjustable suspension with Mupo front shocks and Ohlins at the rear, PSRT livery with winglets, Dell’Orto carburettor and a restyled Arrow exhaust system.

According to PSRT, every purchase of the motorcycle comes with bespoke branded tyre warmers, a branded race carpet, including a selection of spare parts with a range of sprockets and pinions in a custom containment.

It also comes with a striking Petronas SRT paint job, supplied by the same company behind the YZR-M1 MotoGP livery.

Pre-orders for the limited edition motorcycle are now open, with delivery is expected to start in September. Those who are interested can register their interest HERE.

MV Agusta Lands 2021 F3 Rosso – Now Euro 5 Compliance, 147hp

MV Agusta F3 is the latest to join the Italian ‘Rosso’ line for 2021, with the supersport motorcycle gain several upgrades.

Like the rest of MV Agusta three-cylinder machine, the F3 received technical and performance updates for 2021 with the aim to heightened riding pleasure on the road.

This time around, the engineers at MV Agusta has redesigned the frame plates to increased the torsional and longitudinal stiffness by improving the swingarm connection that also helps to enhance riding precision.

However, the most significant updates focused on the three-cylinder powerplant with the Euro 5 regulation allows MV Agusta to refined the engine by reducing internal friction.

While the valves remain titanium, MV Agusta upgraded the main bearings, rods and countershaft, including an entirely new exhaust system intending to improve torque and power curves at every speed.

The 798cc continues to deliver 147hp at 13,000rpm and 88Nm of torque at 10,100rpm with a top speed of 240km/h.

The Varese-based company also introduces a new bi-directional flow radiator that helps increased boost efficiency up to 5 per cent.

  • Continental ABS with cornering function
  • traction control
  • front lift control

Triumph X Beeline Announce Joint Collaboration For Unique Navigation System

Award-winning navigation system, Beeline and British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph Motorcycles announced a new collaboration for a unique Triumph-branded navigation system.

The system is designed to provide every Triumph owners to experience an easy to use navigation system.

Apart from providing assistance, the robust alloy design is perfect for all Triumph motorcycles, mainly the Bonneville range.

While other navigation systems can be a turn-off as it usually comes with a huge display affecting your view of the motorcycle dashboard, the Beeline system is very minimal and almost blends in with your Triumph motorcycle’s overall look.

The package comes in a circular alloy case with waterproof and shockproof construction capable of withstanding any riding condition and can be easily mounted on your motorcycle with a simple quick-release system.

You can easily access its navigation features by downloading the Beeline app, pair the device, choose your destination, and press go. According to Triumph, the system comes with glove-friendly buttons.

Despite the compact size, it comes with 30-hour battery life, while every new purchase includes a 2-year warranty and free lifetime software update.

Apart from accessing its navigation features, riders can also view the speedometer, clock and trip computer.

Ducati Introduces A Wide Selection Of Accessories For The All-New Monster, Launching In Malaysia Soon?

The all-new Ducati Monster now comes with a wide selection of accessories designed to enhance the technical characteristics and overall look of the bike.

Like the previous Monster, the latest accessories available in the Ducati Performance catalogue allows owners to customize the 2021 sport naked according to their liking.

Two customization sets to choose from, for starters, the Pixel kit and the GP kit, with the latter, offers your Monster with Ducati Corse racing DNA.

Both customization kits are available for all three colours of the Monster and Monster Plus.

You can also upgrade the 2021 Monster with Euro 5 standard Termignoni homologated silencer and Termingnoni racing exhaust (for track use only).

To complete the look, you may also get your hands on a series of accessories from Rizoma consisting of handlebar balancing weights, footpegs, brake fluid and clutch fluid reservoirs.

Meanwhile, Ducati Malaysia is expected to launch the 2021 Ducati Monster at the start of Q4, including the wide range of customization.

The Monster will set to join the new Multistrada V4 (launching soon) and the Streetfighter V4 currently available at Ducati Malaysia alongside the Panigale V4 and Panigale V2.

Subaru To Develop A Flying Motorcycle, New Patent Reveals

Back in the mid-’80s, M.A.S.K was one of the most popular animated television series as it emphasised operating vehicles capable of transforming into another form of transportation.

One of the most popular vehicle in the lineup was the Condor, a lime green motorcycle capable of transforming into a one-man assault helicopter.

While it may seem a bit of a stretch back in the ’80s, latest reports suggest we might be able to see a working ‘flying motorcycle’ soon enough.

It appears Japanese automotive manufacturer Subaru has filed a patent application for a motorcycle that also functions as a flying vehicle.

Filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office last month, the document describes a motorcycle that will have vertical take-off and landing capabilities.

According to reports, the plane wings will tuck to its side while in motorcycle mode but will extend outward once ready to fly.

Interestingly, the ‘flying motorcycle’ will be powered by an internal combustion engine instead of an all-electric powertrain.

Despite the excitement behind Subaru’s latest design concept, it might take years of proper planning before the project can really take off.

Nevertheless, we can’t help but feel excited that manufacturers are planning to bring the Condor to life in years to come.
