The Benelli 752S Finally Lands In Malaysia – RM37,888!

Three years after the global launch in 2018, the Benelli 752S is finally here in Malaysia with a retail price of RM37,888.

The 752S is equipped with a twin-cylinder 754cccc that produces 76hp at 8,500rpm and 67Nm at 6,500rpm.

The bike also features upside-down front fork by Marzocchi, four-piston Brembo callipers paired with 320mm floating disc and 260mm at the rear, 14.5 L tank and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

To add to the overall looks, the 752S comes with an all-digital TFT screen!

According to Benelli Malaysia, the 752S is already available at every dealership across the country and comes with two-year warranty or 20,000km (whichever comes first).

Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak Edition Is Coming

Ducati will introduce a Pikes Peak edition of the Multistrada V4 for 2021.

Had already offered the Pikes Peak edition for the previous 1260 Multistrada the Italian marque set to continue the tradition with latest Multistrada V4.

Pikes Peak has always been one of the most iconic streets for Ducati even after they switched from the Multistrada to the prototype, Streetfighter V4, during Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 2019.

After Carlin Dunne tragic accident leads to the ban of two wheels from competing in the Hill Climb, Ducati went ahead with the plans to introduce a Pikes Peak edition for the Multistrada V4.

No further details of the said motorcycle are being disclosed yet, however, looking back at the previous Pikes Peak edition; we can make a few guesses such as unique colour scheme and Ohlins suspension.

We have yet to catch a glimpse of the all-new Multistrada V4 here in Malaysia, but we expect the new adventure motorcycle to be introduced soon!

MotoGP: Dovizioso Remain Open As Marquez Replacement In Season Opener

Andrea Dovizioso is adamant he will not return to MotoGP in 2021 but remains open as Marc Marquez replacement at Honda.

Dovizioso opted for a sabbatical in 2021 after failing to secure a seat as a test-rider.

However, Dovizioso expressed the desire to return as a replacement for Marquez who is expected to be sidelined after his third successful operation.

“I’m open, but at the moment I’m not looking for a place to return to at all costs.

“I am only interested in projects of a certain type, so if there is a possibility of returning to MotoGP in 2021 or 2022 I will be the first to be happy to talk about it,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Dorna Sports CEO, Carmelo Ezpeleta, has ruled out the possibility of fielding three factory team riders since it was outlawed back in 2012.

Energica Receives Record-Breaking Order From Taiwan, Worth RM4.1 Million!

Energica Motor Company managed to secure record-breaking order from Taiwanese importer, Russ Tiger Enterprise Co. Ltd.

The order is the highest in the Italian company history, including all the Energica line-up models, for a total of EUR836,000 (RM4.1 mil).

Taiwan has seen a massive demand for electric mobility.

It is estimated there are over 91,000 electric-powered motorcycles in the country; hence, it comes with no surprised when Energica commercial partner, Russ Tiger is seeking to promote the Italian brand in Taiwan.

“Electric vehicles are the trend because of environment protection. Besides, the weather and Taiwan environment are also suitable for electric bike riders,” explained Russ Tiger Enterprise CEO, Russ Tai.

According to Russ, Energica status as a Moto3 supplier is one of the factors behind the high demand of the brand in Taiwan.

Husqvarna Introduce The 2021 Svartpilen 125 – 15HP, 12Nm!

According to Husqvarna, this baby Svart is heading for the global market; hence we might have the chance to catch the smallest displacement Svartpilen here in Malaysia.

The 125 is seen as a good move by Husqvarna to extend the brand towards younger motorcyclist.

As you expect, the 125cc single-cylinder, liquid cool with twin overhead camshaft engine is now Euro 5 compliant and produces 15hp at 9,500rpm and 12Nm.

The bike features ByBre disc brakes, WP Apex 43mm front fork (the same you get on its bigger siblings 250 and 401 Svartpilen), WP Apex rear mono-shock, and complete LED light set-up.

Braking is done by Bosch ABS while the machine runs on a pair of 17-inch wheels complete with Pirelli tyres.

Husqvarna listed the dry weight at 146 kilograms and in our book (even with a full tank of gas) this baby Svart is pretty lightweight hence should be relatively easy to manage for younger and newer riders.

UPDATED: Brno Says Goodbye To MotoGP

Earlier today, Brno announced their decision not to hold any world championship for 2021 including the MotoGP.

However, it is understood that their absence will not be just for this season.

In the official press release, the circuit management said, “not to organize world championship races in the future.”

The Czech Republic GP entered the MotoGP calendar back in 1965 and presented itself as a street circuit before the current track was built in the 80s.

Director of Automotodrom Brno, Ivan Ulmanova earlier explained that the cancellation was mainly economic.

Instead, Brno will focus on promoting domestic motorsports and leasing the venue to private events.
