British MotoGP rider Cal Crutchlow was reported to have undergone surgery last week on both forearms to help prevent arm pump yet again.
Professionally known as chronic exertional compartment syndrome or CECS which is common with athletes, this injury basically makes the muscles in the affected area under perform or becomes weak.
Doctors will usually cut a small incision to the muscle to relieve pressure in that area. Several weeks rest is recommended after such procedure.
Apparently Crutchlow already had his arm operated before, once on the left and three times on the right hand.
