Moto Guzzi has been busy updating its current lineup with a new range of motorcycles.

Not only revamping its Mandello Del Lario factory, the Italian brand recently celebrated its 100th years anniversary by unveiling the V100 Mandello sport-tourer.

The V100 Mandello is the company most technologically-advanced motorcycle to date.

However, it seems Moto Guzzi does not plan to stop there, instead the Italian firm has just teased an upcoming V850 X set to roll out in 2022.

Looking at the company new direction with the V 85TT and the V100 Mandello, the new motorcycle could also carry a more modern design.

Looking back in October, a test mule was found roaming the street of Italy in a special test livery dubbed to be the next generation V7.

While the company did well to hide some finer details, the photos clearly show the V7 has received a modern touch.

However, the upcoming V850 X could combine the ruggedness of the V7 with the V85 TT off-roading capabilities.

According to reports, Moto Guzzi set up an incomplete website dedicated to the all-new V850 X with a text describing the new model as a “production special”, “technical heir” to the V7.

It also says the V850 X is a “synthesis of different worlds such as the flat track and that of the scrambler.”

The web page has since been taken down since the report went viral.

Nonetheless, Moto Guzzi is confirmed to roll out a couple of new models for 2022, we just not sure what’s the date. Either way, 2022 is set to be an exciting year.

Harley-Davidson is set to kick off the new year with an all-new motorcycle.

The American motorcycle company has teased that there is something new set to be unleashed on the 26 January.

The teaser only features a date and a glimpse of what looks like a silhouette from a tank including the tagline ‘Further, Faster’.

While details remain scarce at this point, there is no harm in trying to deduct what the new motorcycle could be.

Firstly, looking at how aggressive Harley-Davidson is with the new Revolution Max 1250 engine available on the Sportster S and Pan America, the upcoming model could feature the same powerplant.

The tagline ‘Further, Faster’ could also refer to a more powerful version of the two.

However, considering 150hp and 127Nm is more than enough for the Pan America 1250, it’s only logical that the teaser could refer to a more powerful Sportster S.

Firstly, the Sportster S makes 121hp @ 7,500rpm and 127Nm, which means it has room to be injected with extra ponies.

Secondly, with just an 11.8L tank capacity, the Sportster S definitely needs a bigger tank to allow riders to go the extra mile.

Ironically, since the ‘S’ refers to ‘Sport’, the upcoming model could be a touring-oriented Sportster.

Nevertheless, the teaser could mean an entirely different model altogether thus it’ll be best to just wait and see what’s in store from Harley-Davidson.

U.K Prime Minister, Boris Johnson announced that all new construction in England will require electric charging stations to be installed beginning 2022.

The speech was part of a movement to accelerate the country’s ambitious emission goals of banning the sales of internal combustion engines including motorcycles from 2030.

In an effort to reach its goal of having 145,000 charging points by 2030, the prime minister office is enacting requirements for all housing, workplace, and retail construction projects to equip parking bays with electric charging stations.

While the cost of adding the charging stations does not come with any incentives, the move is aligned with the country’s motion to transition to electricity.

Despite the push, the UK government recently slashed incentives for customers who want to purchase electric motorcycles and scooters.

Currently, the UK sits way behind its European counterparts in terms of total electric charging points installed.

To put it in perspective, France currently has 45,751 charging stations compared to UK’s 25,000.

UK’s approach to electrifying its mobility industry has also triggered motorcycles manufacturers in the country such as Triumph to develop their first electric motorcycle.
