In a thrilling announcement, Kawasaki is commemorating the 40th anniversary of its iconic Ninja range by introducing a lineup of special edition motorcycles. These exclusive bikes come with retro-inspired paint schemes and a range of unique features that are set to captivate motorcycle enthusiasts and collectors alike.
This landmark celebration extends beyond just the Kawasaki ZX-10R; it reaches out to other remarkable models within the Ninja family, including the Kawasaki ZX-4RR and Kawasaki ZX-6R. Notably, the ZX-4RR made its initial appearance in its standard configuration earlier this year, making its 40th-anniversary edition even more anticipated.
The grand reveal of these motorcycles is scheduled for later this year at the EICMA show in Milan. At this event, they will make a bold statement with their ’90s-inspired green, white, and blue paint schemes. These colors, reminiscent of Kawasaki’s iconic livery from the 1990s, have enjoyed a triumphant resurgence in recent years. The factory Kawasaki team in WorldSBK showcased them at the 2022 Argentinian round, and the official Kawasaki UK team in British Superbikes, FS-3, has consistently adorned their bikes with these iconic colors for the past two seasons.
The resurrection of this classic paint scheme infuses the motorcycles with a powerful sense of nostalgia, paying homage to Kawasaki’s storied racing heritage. To further underline the significance of the 40th anniversary, each of these bikes proudly displays special badging on their fuel tanks. While the livery is tweaked slightly to match the distinctive bodywork of each model, it is a testament to the meticulous design and attention to detail.
In addition to the 40th-anniversary models, these special edition motorcycles will be introduced alongside the existing 2024 color options for the ZX-10R, ZX-6R, and ZX-4RR, providing enthusiasts with an exciting array of choices. The pricing of these exclusive 40th-anniversary versions is positioned to make them an irresistible option for avid fans of the Kawasaki Ninja series.
Kawasaki has once again raised the bar in the world of motorcycling, and these anniversary editions are sure to create waves in the industry, cementing the brand’s legacy for another 40 years and beyond. However, it is not yet know which markets these models will be offered in.

Kawasaki owners can now breathe easily in case of a breakdown as Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (EMOS) has officially introduced its roadside assistance services.
New Kawasaki owners can enjoy up to four free towing services in a year.
Customers can reach out to Kawasaki Roadside Assistance via toll-free line.
EMOS, in its press statement, said that the service covers all-new Kawasaki and Modenas rebranded models manufactured in 2022 and registered from August 1, 2022.
According to MODENAS CEO Roslan Roskan, the service is part of the company’s initiatives to provide the best services for its customers.
“We are always looking at providing convenience for our customers. Accidents happen and motorists do not want to walk on the side of the highway pushing their heavy motorcycles to an auto mechanic shop.
“Therefore, we have decided to focus more of our resources on helping our customers get fast, efficient and safe towing for their motorcycles rather than being forced to leave them stranded by the roadside,” he said.
The 24 hours roadside assistance includes a free 100KM round-trip towing throughout West Malaysia and to all major towns in East Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak.
However, for towing that exceeds 100km, an additional RM2.00 per kilometre will be imposed. In addition, towing services shall cover both major and minor engine/motor breakdowns and accidents.
Each member is entitled to four free towing services a year, but the service is valid for only one year from the registration date.
Owners can reach out to Kawasaki Roadside Assistance at any time via a toll-free number at 1-800-880-008.
Kawasaki Malaysia has officially showcased the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R during a special preview at the Sepang International Circuit.
Currently, the ZX-25R is only available in Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.
The Ninja ZX-25R makes 51hp and 22.9Nm of torque.
To our surprise, the unit on display is the newly updated Ninja ZX-25R previously launched in Indonesia, earlier last month.
That said, the Ninja ZX-25R features TFT instrument display replacing the semi-digital meter on the previous model. Thanks to the new dash, riders can now connect the bike to their smartphone via the Kawasaki Rideology app.
The ZX-25R also features new adjustable front suspension and electronic package.
Other notable features include:
assist & slipper clutch
economical riding indicator
electronic throttle valve
KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter)

power modes
Powering the 2023 Ninja ZX-25RR is an inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC mill displacing 249.8cc that produces 51hp @ 15,500rpm (with Ram Air) and 22.9Nm @ 14,500rpm.
Power goes through a 6-speed transmission with a claimed max speed of 197km/h.
However, no official price is announced just yet with the ZX-25R is expected to be launch mid of 2023.
Two years since the official launch of the Ninja ZX-25R in Indonesia, the quarter-liter screamer will finally make its way to Malaysia.
However, the Ninja ZX-25R will only be on display as part of a promotion by Kawasaki Malaysia at the Malaysia MotoGP held at Sepang International Circuit.
Nonetheless, it is an exciting development as Modenas Chief Executive Officer Roslan Roskan previously said that the 250cc inline four-cylinder motorcycle will officially arrived as a 2023 model early next year.
So for those would be in Sepang for MotoGP, please make your way to Kawasaki Malaysia booth to take a closer look.
As for the engine, the Ninja ZX-25R’s 249cc inline-four DOHC engine produces a staggering 50hp at 15,500rpm (51hp with ram air) and 22.9Nm of max torque at 14,500rpm. In other words, you will have some good times when you rev this baby hard.
Other specs include:
Power Mode Selection (Full or Low)
New race-inspired Trellis frame

With MODENAS taking on the role of distributing Kawasaki models in Malaysia, the company has committed to a number of things.
MODENAS plans on establishing key service points throughout the country for Kawasaki models.
Kawasaki too is committed to the local market by making parts available for local owners.
Fans and owners of Kawasaki motorcycles in Malaysia were left in a lurch when the long term distributor – Kawasaki Malaysia Sdn Bhd – had to stop operations.
The move was part of a global alignment program where Kawasaki themselves took on the distributorship of its products rather than relying on local distributors.
Servicing can be done at either ‘Kawasaki Shops’ or ‘Kawasaki Stations’. The difference between the two is that the former will be an exclusive Kawasaki shop where else the latter will be a multi brand shop that also sells and services other brands.
MODENAS says that it plans to introduce 20 Kawasaki service points by the end of 2022, and this figure will go up to 40 by mid-2023.
What about servicing at shops which were once branded as Kawasaki or Ninja Shops?
These shops will be able to continue servicing Kawasaki models and can order Kawasaki parts directly from MODENAS.
However, they will not be able to entertain warranty claims.
Warranty Claims can only be carried out ‘Kawasaki Shops’.
MODENAS has also committed to making available a range of spare parts.
During the press session, MODENAS executives clarified that the company will be ordering up to 80,000 parts dating back to 1992.
But it doesn’t just end there, should you need parts that are not immediately available in the market, you could approach a Kawasaki or MODENAS outlet to have it ordered.
And so for Kawasaki owners in Malaysia, the good times will continue to roll.
